My identity
Trends change almost every year and styles come and go. I know my techniques and knowledge can become obsolete, but my identity and principles when it comes to hair styling remain the same.
My clients like their hair to look unique and special. That’s why I’ve always focused on delivering personalized work to everyone who sits on my chair. Thanks to my almost 35 years of career I have developed a big sensibility for understanding my clients’ needs, personalities, and styles. I can tell by their behavior what hairstyle they need and how to get there.
My biggest goal has always been guiding my clients and helping them transform their illusions into reality.
My Background
My hairstylist journey began in 1988 in Santiago, Chile, at 27 years old. After just one year of starting my career, I was signed by Wella to be part of a morning show on Chilean TV. I worked there for 5 years giving advice and showing new trends to the public. This opportunity allowed me to travel showing what I knew and what I was able to do, and also helped me improve my techniques and learn new things.
In 1990, while still working on national television, I started my first salon, and later in 1992, I opened my first high-end salon. This led me to become the face of Wella’s brand in my country, and to start a space to teach new techniques and trends to new generations of hairstylists.
An Unexpected Change...
I stayed on the top of the hairstyling business in Chile for several years until 2019, when an entrepreneur from Texas saw me on social media and invited me to visit her and start a hairstylist academy. For different reasons the project never came to light, but the trip allowed me to know Dallas. A beautiful city with which I fell in love instantly and encouraged me to seek new challenges in my career.
After 3 years in the US looking for a place to welcome my clients, I can proudly say that I found it. Salons by JC in Plano, Texas is where my new suite is located and it feels like a dream come true. In my 34 years as a hairstylist, I’ve never seen a concept like this. Salons by JC in Plano take the Salon Suite standards to a new level with a very well-thought design that resembles the quality I like to give to my clients. I’m super happy to be able to receive clients in my own place where I can share the best of my work. Now, my bookings are open for new clients to join me in this new chapter in my life.
